My love for makeup has probably been around for longer than I realise, I was just never very good at it! I would spend hours browsing the makeup counter in Boots, always walking away empty handed because I didn’t have the knowledge on how to use it. Fast forward to 2015 when I gave up my corporate career, and found my way into the world of MLM. It was a short dip but enough to find a love of makeup that changed my life!

The world of network marketing gave me the chance to ‘play’ with makeup every day. After what started as a little something to fill my time, a full blown love affair was born. In 2016 I took a leap of faith and enrolled in the London Academy of Freelance Makeup. Not a big makeup wearer myself, I bucked the trend for heavy Instagram makeup and followed my heart to focus on natural makeup that enhances YOU. Now also working with commercial clients such as Schwarzkopf, Joules, Next plc, F&F Clothing and GHD, I just adore creating fresh, glowing skin that looks like REAL SKIN.

I started my career working as an Accounts Assistant for a global corporation, but always knew that my heart wasn't in it. In 2006, I left to follow my dreams and completed a BSc in Animal Science. Circumstances (and finances!) meant for many years I worked in my accounts role during the week and at Woodgreen Animal Shelter at the weekend....bliss! It wasn't until I had my first child in 2011, that the Woodgreen work was (sadly) left behind and I ended up back where I began. When I had my third child in 2015, all that changed again and both Matilda and Yvonne Aucott Makeup Artist was born.
